フランスでも日本でも、報道番組をつければいつもアジアの国（国じゃないとかって指摘をする人もいるけど、私は国と呼ぶ）で起こるかもしれない有事の話を耳にした。
フランスから見たアジアの国の有事の話はどれも滑稽に見えた。ヨーロッパから見たら遠く離れている場所の争いについてなぜ忙しくしているのだろうと思った。欧米の国々が危険だと警告し始めたらそういうムードになっていくものなんだ、へ〜って思った。

フランスでは日本文化を愛してくれていることが嬉しかったけれど、同じくらい日本がどこにあってどんな国かも知らない人もいる。
日本に帰ったときには、友達たちは海外から「日本」はどう見られているかと聞く。日本語で育ったわたしたちが思う「日本」であることが前提となるかのように。

同じアジアからきた友達たちは、国名を伝えた際に必ずしも好意的な反応をもらえるわけではないようだった。そんな友達たちは、フランスではみんなが日本を好きだと私にいつも言う。

どっちが優れているわけでも、そうでないものでもない。でも、そういういろんなことを踏まえて、日本がなにか特別であるかのような言い回しを自分からしてしまうのはおかしなことだと常々思った。

とはいえ、好意的に受け入れられているらしい？日本出身の私が、フランスからアジアを見る、または有事が起きるといわれているアジアの国を見てみるときの視点について考えてみたりする。あ〜日本から来たと言ったときの好意的な反応に、心の底から喜べない。

思っているよりも大きな資本が街の景観を作り、底を尽きることのない人間の欲望と、欲望を掻き立てる物・物・物で埋め尽くされた場所ではあまりにも通用しないことが多いけれど、良い選択をしていきたい。

Whenever I turned on news programs in France or Japan, I always heard about emergencies that might occur in Asian countries (some people say they're not countries, but I call them countries).
From France's point of view, all stories about emergencies in Asian countries seemed ridiculous. I wondered why they were so busy talking about a conflict in a place so far away from Europe's point of view. I thought that's what would happen if Western countries started warning that it was dangerous.

I was happy that people in France love Japanese culture, but there are also people who don't even know where Japan is or what kind of country it is.
When I return to Japan, my friends ask me how "Japan" is viewed overseas. It's as if it's a prerequisite for us to be "Japan" as we think of it because we grew up speaking Japanese.

Friends who also came from Asia didn't always seem to get positive reactions when I told them the name of their country. They always tell me that in France everyone loves Japan.

Neither one is better than the other, and neither is the other. However, considering all of these things, I have always thought that it is strange for people to say things like Japan is somehow special.

However, it seems to be well received? As someone from Japan, I try to think about the perspective from which I look at Asia from France, or when I look at countries in Asia where emergencies are said to occur. Ah, I couldn't be happier with the positive reactions I received when I told them I was from Japan.

However, in places where capital is larger than people think, creating the landscape of the city, and filled with endless human desires and things that arouse those desires, it often does not work. , I want to make good choices.
